Use of cookies
We use cookies to make the navigation and use of our websites as user-friendly as possible. Cookies are small files with text information that are stored on your hard disk when you access the website. Cookies are used for the temporary storage of information - for example for statistical analysis or for the purpose of connection control during your visit to a website. Cookies are also used to store the preferences of visitors. This enables us to tailor the content of our website to your needs and thus improve our offering for you. We cannot establish any reference to users with the cookies.
You can deactivate the option to store these cookies at any time in the system settings of your browser and delete existing cookies. Every user can also view the website without cookies. However, if you do not accept cookies, this may limit the functionality of our website.
Some of the cookies we use are automatically deleted from your hard disk at the end of the browser session (session cookies). In addition, we also use cookies that remain on your hard disk for a certain period of time beyond the browser session. These persistent cookies are stored on your hard disk and deleted by the browser after the specified time. The cookies may also be those of third-party providers.
Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process or to provide certain functions you have requested (e.g. use of the shopping cart) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. Insofar as other cookies (e.g. cookies to analyze your surfing behavior) are stored, these are treated separately in the following sections of this privacy policy.
We also use cookies and similar technologies for advertising purposes. Some of the access data collected when you use our website is used for interest-based advertising. By analyzing and evaluating this access data, we are able to show you personalized advertising on our website and on the websites of other providers. This means advertising that corresponds to your actual interests and needs.
The legal basis for the data processing described in the following section is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR based on our legitimate interest in providing you with personalized advertising.
In the following section, we would like to explain these technologies and the providers used for this in more detail. The data collected may include the following data in particular
the IP address of the device,
the date and time of access
the identification number of a cookie,
the device identifier of mobile devices,
technical information about the browser and operating system.
However, the data collected is only stored under a pseudonym so that no direct conclusions can be drawn about individuals.
In the following descriptions of the technologies we use, you will find information on how to object to our analysis and advertising measures by means of an opt-out cookie. Please note that an opt-out cookie must be set again after deleting all cookies in your browser or using a different browser and/or profile at a later date. Below we describe the opt-out options for our analysis and advertising measures. Alternatively, you can exercise your objection by making the appropriate settings on the Truste, NAI, DAA or Your Online Choices websites, which provide bundled objection options from many advertisers. These sites allow you to deactivate all advertisements for the listed providers at once using opt-out cookies or, alternatively, to make the settings for each provider individually.
Google (Universal) Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to analyze and improve our website based on your user behavior. The data collected in this context may be transferred by Google to a server in the USA for evaluation and stored there. In the event that personal data is transferred to the USA, Google has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield. However, your IP address will be shortened before the usage statistics are evaluated so that no conclusions can be drawn about your identity. For this purpose, Google Analytics has been extended on our website to include the code "anonymizeIP" to ensure that IP addresses are recorded anonymously. Google will process the information obtained through the cookies to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity for website operators and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage. You can configure your browser to reject cookies as shown above, or you can prevent the collection of data generated by cookies and related to your use of our websites in the cookie settings of Google's privacy policy. Alternatively, you can prevent Google from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser add-on provided by Google (the latter does not work on mobile devices).
You can find more information about this in the Google Analytics privacy policy.
Google Analytics cookies are stored on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both its website and its advertising.
Visual Website Optimizer
Visual Website Optimizer (VWO) is used on our website. This is a web analysis service provided by Wingify, 14th Floor, KLJ Tower North, Netaji Subhash Place, Pitam Pura, Delhi 110034, India. We carry out these analyses in accordance with the provisions of data protection law and in particular do not use any personal data. These analyses are carried out to learn more about the use of our website, which enables us to improve our offer for you and make it easier to find.
If you do not want anonymous data about your use of our website to be stored by Visual Website Optimizer, you can object to its use. Visual Website Optimizer offers a link on the website that you can click to object to data collection (opt-out). After that, no more data will be collected by Visual Website Optimizer. Technically, it is necessary that an opt-out cookie is set to deactivate the Visual Website Optimizer analysis tool. This opt-out declaration is therefore valid as long as you do not delete the cookie. The opt-out cookie is only valid in the browser with which you carried out the opt-out process. If you use our website from multiple computers or with different browsers, we therefore recommend that you set the opt-out cookie for each computer and browser.
You can object to the storage of your anonymously collected visitor data on the website at any time in the future by entering the web address in the field provided. Alternatively, you can click the "Disable VWO" link on the same page to create an objection for all websites that use Visual Website Optimizer. You can find more information on data protection here.
Visual Website Optimizer is stored on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in showing the user relevant product offers. This is done against the background of personalizing and optimizing the user experience on the website.
Google AdWords Conversion Tracking and Remarketing
Our website uses the “AdWords Conversion Tracking” and “AdWords Remarketing” services of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Using “AdWords Conversion Tracking”, we record and analyze customer actions defined by us (such as clicking on an ad, page views, downloads). We use “AdWords Remarketing” to show you personalized advertising messages for our products on Google partner websites. Both services use cookies and similar technologies for this purpose. The data collected in this context can be transferred by Google to a server in the USA for evaluation and stored there. In the event that personal data is transferred to the USA, Google has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield.
If you use a Google account, Google can link your web and app browsing history to your Google account and use information from your Google account to personalize ads, depending on the settings stored in your Google account. If you do not want this association with your Google account, you must log out of Google before visiting our contact page.
As shown above, you can configure your browser to reject cookies. You can also prevent Google from using cookies for advertising purposes in the cookie settings of Google's privacy policy.
You can find more information about this in Google's privacy policy.
LinkedIn Conversion Tracking
We use the retargeting tool LinkedIn Conversion Tracking from LinkedIn Ireland, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland ("LinkedIn"). For this purpose, the LinkedIn Insight Tag is integrated into the Kelmendi & Ortlieb Projects GmbH website, which enables LinkedIn to collect statistical, pseudonymous data about your visit and use of our website and to provide us with corresponding aggregated statistics on this basis. This information is also used to show you interest-specific and relevant offers and recommendations. You can prevent cookies from being saved using a browser setting. Alternatively, you can object to this form of data processing by setting an opt-out cookie using the following link, which will remain on your device until you delete the cookies. This option is available to both LinkedIn members and non-members.
You can also find more information about this in LinkedIn's privacy policy.
Conversion measurement and website custom audiences with the Facebook pixel
We use the Facebook pixel or visitor action pixel from Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (hereinafter: Facebook) on our website. By calling up this pixel via your browser, Facebook can then recognize whether a Facebook ad was successful. This is the case, for example, if a purchase is made on a website. We only receive statistical and anonymized data from Facebook for this purpose, with no reference to a specific person. This enables us to record the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes and to improve our offering.
We also use the Facebook pixel for the “Website Custom Audiences” function. We would like to point out that as the provider of the websites, we have no knowledge of the content of the data transmitted or how it is used by Facebook. We can only select which segments of Facebook users (such as age, interests) our advertising should be displayed to. We use one of two ways of working with Custom Audiences, in which no data records, in particular no email addresses of our users - neither encrypted nor unencrypted - are sent to Facebook.
Facebook receives information from your browser through the pixel graphic, among other things, that our site has been accessed from your device. If your browser allows cookies and you do not participate in the opt-out process, Facebook creates a cookie to be able to recognize you. If you are logged into Facebook or log in later, the data can be assigned to your Facebook account, which means that personal data is processed.
In particular, if you are logged into Facebook, we refer you to their data protection information. Please click here if you would like to revoke your consent to the Facebook pixel.
Facebook pixels are stored on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in displaying offers tailored to the user. This is against the background of user-relevant advertising.
Embedded YouTube videos
We have embedded videos in our website that are stored on YouTube and can be played directly from our websites. YouTube is a multimedia service provided by YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA (“YouTube”), a group company of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). In the event that personal data is transferred to the USA, Google and the group company YouTube have submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield. The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 Clause 1 Letter f of GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in the integration of video and image content.
By visiting our website, YouTube and Google receive the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. This happens regardless of whether you are logged in to YouTube or Google or not. YouTube and Google use this data for the purposes of advertising, market research and to design their websites to meet your needs. If you visit YouTube on our website while you are logged into your YouTube or Google profile, YouTube and Google can also link this event to the respective profiles. If you do not want this to happen, you must log out of Google before visiting our website.
As shown above, you can configure your browser to reject cookies, or you can prevent the collection of data generated by cookies and related to your use of this website and the processing of this data by Google by deactivating the "Personalized advertising on the web" button in the Google advertising settings. In this case, Google will only display non-individualized advertising.
For more information, see Google's privacy policy, which also applies to YouTube.
YouTube is used in the interest of an attractive presentation of our online offerings. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Use of Google Maps
Our website uses the Google Maps map service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). In order for the Google map material we use to be integrated and displayed in your web browser, your web browser must establish a connection to a Google server, which may also be located in the USA, when you access the contact page. In the event that personal data is transferred to the USA, Google has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield. Google thereby receives the information that the contact page of our website was accessed from the IP address of your device. The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 Clause 1 Letter f of GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in integrating a map service for contacting you.
If you access the Google map service on our website while you are logged into your Google profile, Google can also link this event to your Google profile. If you do not want to be assigned to your Google profile, you must log out of Google before accessing our contact page. Google stores your data and uses it for the purposes of advertising, market research and personalized display of Google Maps. You can object to this data collection by Google.
You can find more information about this in Google's privacy policy and the additional terms of use for Google Maps.
SSL (Secure Socket Layer) - Encryption (https)
This method encrypts all data traffic between the customer's browser and the server system. Encryption occurs automatically if you enter https://... instead of just http://... The "s" after the http creates an encrypted connection! For data protection reasons, data may only be transmitted via encrypted connections.
Links to other websites
Our online offering contains links to other websites. We have no influence on whether their operators comply with data protection regulations. Despite careful control of the content, we accept no liability for the content of external links. The operators of the linked pages are solely responsible for their content.
How can our website visitors withdraw/revoke their consent?
